2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
2.1 Information You Provide Directly — contact and identification details (name, job title, organisation, email address, telephone number, postal address); correspondence, feedback, and enquiries submitted through our website or directly to our team; information provided in connection with service engagements, including project briefs, institutional data, financial records, and policy documents shared for the purpose of delivering advisory services; and details submitted when subscribing to newsletters, publications, or events.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically — technical data such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system, time zone, and device identifiers when you visit our website; and usage data including pages visited, links clicked, time spent on pages, and referring URLs, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
2.3 Information from Third Parties — data from publicly available sources, government databases, and partner organisations where relevant to the delivery of our services; and information from development organisations, funding agencies, or other institutional partners who engage us on joint mandates.
3. How We Use Your Information
We process personal and institutional information to deliver, manage, and improve our advisory and consulting services; to communicate with you regarding service engagements, proposals, reports, and deliverables; to respond to enquiries and fulfil contractual obligations; to conduct applied economic research, policy analysis, and data-driven assessments on behalf of clients; to send informational materials and research publications where you have consented; to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and professional obligations; to protect the security and integrity of our systems; and to improve our website and services through analytics and research.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data on the basis of contract performance, where necessary to fulfil our obligations to clients and partners; legitimate interests, where necessary for our business operations, provided these are not overridden by your rights; legal compliance, where required by applicable laws and regulations; and consent, where you have given explicit consent for a specific processing activity.
5. Confidentiality & Data Sharing
We treat all client information with the highest level of professional confidentiality. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information with third parties for commercial purposes. We may share information with trusted subcontractors or specialist advisers engaged to support service delivery, subject to confidentiality obligations; with development organisations or government bodies where required under a joint engagement; with regulatory or law enforcement authorities where disclosure is required by law; and in connection with a corporate restructuring, provided the receiving party agrees to honour this Policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including the duration of active engagements and any applicable post-engagement review period, periods required by law or professional standards, and reasonable periods necessary to resolve disputes or satisfy audit requirements. When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including secure storage and transmission protocols, access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel, and regular review of our security practices.
8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies to enhance user experience, analyse site usage, and support communications. We use essential cookies necessary for website functionality, analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with our site, and preference cookies to remember your settings. You may manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect website functionality.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access personal data we hold about you; the right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data; the right to erasure in certain circumstances; the right to restrict or object to processing; the right to data portability; and the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 20.
10. International Data Transfers
Where we transfer data across borders, we take appropriate steps to ensure that such transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws and that appropriate safeguards are in place.
PART II – TERMS OF SERVICE
11. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website, engaging our services, or entering into any agreement with Interstrategy, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you are acting on behalf of an organisation or government institution, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time; continued use of our services following notification of changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Scope of Services
Interstrategy provides bespoke advisory and consulting services covering Public Financial Management (PFM), including budget planning, treasury management, fiscal reporting, and financial systems strengthening; Governance Advisory, including institutional reform, accountability frameworks, and regulatory design; Policy Formulation and Applied Research, including economic analysis, impact evaluation, and evidence-based advisory; Financial and Governance Process Automation, including digital transformation strategy and systems integration; and Capacity Building and Training for government officials and institutional stakeholders. The specific scope, deliverables, timelines, and fees for each engagement are set out in a separate service agreement or statement of work.
13. Client Obligations
Clients and institutional partners agree to provide accurate, complete, and timely information necessary for service delivery; designate appropriate points of contact and ensure availability for consultations and approvals; comply with all applicable laws and regulations; use all deliverables and advisory outputs in accordance with their intended purpose; and notify Interstrategy promptly of any circumstances that may affect the delivery of services.
14. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in materials, tools, methodologies, and know-how developed or owned by Interstrategy independently of a specific engagement remain the exclusive property of Interstrategy. Deliverables produced specifically for a client engagement are governed by the applicable service agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, clients receive a non-exclusive licence to use deliverables for the purposes contemplated by the engagement, and Interstrategy retains the right to use anonymised insights and methodologies for improving its services and developing thought leadership. All content on the Interstrategy website may not be reproduced or used without prior written consent.
15. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to maintain strict confidentiality of all non-public information exchanged during an engagement. Confidential information shall not be disclosed to any third party without prior written consent, except where required by law. These confidentiality obligations survive the termination or expiry of any service agreement.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties
Interstrategy provides all advisory services and recommendations in good faith and with professional diligence. Advisory outputs represent professional opinion based on information available at the time and do not constitute legal, financial, audit, or regulatory advice unless expressly stated. Clients are responsible for their own decisions and for seeking independent advice where appropriate before implementing any recommendations. Interstrategy does not guarantee specific outcomes or the approval of any plans or programmes by third-party bodies.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Interstrategy’s total liability arising out of a specific engagement shall not exceed the total fees paid for that engagement. Interstrategy shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special loss or damage, loss of profit, loss of data, or reputational harm. Nothing in these Terms limits Interstrategy’s liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or gross negligence.
18. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by applicable law as specified in the relevant service agreement. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek resolution through good-faith negotiation in the first instance, followed by mediation or arbitration in accordance with the applicable service agreement. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief from a competent court.
19. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay in performance resulting from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government actions, pandemics, or significant disruptions to infrastructure. The affected party shall notify the other promptly and use reasonable efforts to resume performance as soon as practicable.
